PCB CEO wasim Khan criticizes Mohammad Hafeez for publicly posting Covid-19 result

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s Chief Executive, Wasim Khan has criticized experienced allrounder Mohammad Hafeez for posting his COVID-19 Test report on Twitter.

According to sources, Hafeez underwent a private COVID-19 Test day alongside his family, a day after PCB confirmed the positive results of 10 cricketers including him. After being tested negative, the 39-year-old had uploaded the test report along with a message on his twitter.

“After Tested positive COVID-19 acc to PCB testing Report yesterday,as 2nd opinion & for satisfaction I personally went to Test it again along with my family and here I along with my all family members are reported Negetive Alham du Lillah. May Allah keep us all safe” Hafeez had tweeted.

Hafeez’s Tweet led to widespread criticism by the Pakistan cricket fraternity, raising questions on the credibility of the testing procedures being used by the PCB. Taking notice of immense backlash on social media, CEO Wasim Khan reached out to Hafeez to figure out the reason behind posting the result publicly.

“You should have contacted us first before posting your report publicly. Your tweet has raised plenty of questions on our testing system,” Khan said to Hafeez.

It is to be known that Fakhar Zaman, Imran Khan, Kashif Bhatti, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Rizwan, Wahab Riaz, Haris Rauf, Haider Ali and Shadab Khan had tested positive for COVID-19. Malang Ali, the team’s masseur, also tested positive for the dreaded disease.
