Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi has made a massive announcement for fans with regards to the 6th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Afridi took to twitter to reveal that the Peshawar Stadium will be all set to host matches of PSL Season 6 next year. The

The Peshawar stadium was constructed in 1984 and was initially known as Shahi Bagh Stadium. It is the home ground for former PSL champions Peshawar Zalmi. The venue replaced the Peshawar Club Ground as the home ground for the Peshawar cricket team back in 1985. The historic venue has hosted 17 ODIs since 1984 (most recently on 6 February 2006, between Pakistan vs India which Pakistan won by 18 runs and seven Test matches since 1995.
The venue initially had a seating capacity of 20,000. In 2019, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government approved 1.2 billion rupees for upgradation of the venue which is now called the Arbab Niaz Cricket stadium Peshawar. According to Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, the stadium will be revamped according to international standard having all modern facilities for players, officials, journalists and audience.
