Experienced all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has once again tested positive for Covid-19 after the laboratory which is associated with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to retest his first sample, as per ARY News.
Sources close to the board have revealed that Hafeez tested positive and the laboratory management has sent the second report over to the PCB officials.
“We decided to retest the sample to maintain the credibility of the laboratory,” said the laboratory official.
“Hafeez’s act has raised questions on the testing process of Pakistan,” he added.
It is to be known that Hafeez went through a private COVID-19 Test less than a day after PCB announced the positive results of 10 cricketers including him. After testing negative, he took to twitter to share the report.
Board CEO Wasim Khan wasn’t too happy about that and questioned Hafeez for posting his COVID-19 Test report publicly. It is being reported that Hafeez later apologized for his actions, with the board currently looking into the matter.
Players including Fakhar Zaman, Imran Khan, Kashif Bhatti, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Rizwan, Wahab Riaz, Haris Rauf, Haider Ali and Shadab Khan have tested positive for COVID-19. Malang Ali, the team’s masseur, also tested positive for the dreaded virus.
