While making a debut in the sport is one of the most proud moments for any cricketer, retiring from the game is surely one of the most painful calls.

Taking the decision to retire is certianly one of the toughest calls any sportsperson can make in his or her’s lives. Some cricketers have over the years ended up regretting their decisions to retire and and have returned to the game. Lets look at some cricketers who returned to cricket despite being retired.

Shahid Afridi

Legendary allrounder Shahid Afridi first announced his retirement from Test cricket in 2006 but came back in 2 weeks and finally retired from Tests in 2010. Next, Afridi made a comeback in 2011, five months after announcing his international retirement. The all-rounder retired from ODI cricket after the 2015 World Cup finally retired from all of International Cricket in 2018.
