Covid-19 testing dates revealed for Pakistan players and officials ahead of England tour

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday announced the dates of the COVID-19 testing of players and officials which will be part of the upcoming “bio-secure” England tour.

According to ARY news, the first COVID-19 Test will be held for players and officials on June 22nd in their respective cities. All tour participants have reportedly been informed of the test.

The players will be tested in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and Peshawar. After the first batch of testing, PCB will announce the players’ arrival schedule in Lahore.

The second batch of testing is due to be carried out on June 25th, however, its announcement will be made after the departure schedule of the team is finalized by the English and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

The Pakistan team is expected to depart on June 28th via chartered plane which will arrive on June 26th, however, the final schedule is yet to be confirmed by the ECB in the next few days.

The Covid-19 Tests of the players and officials will once again be carried out once they reach the UK, as per their government directives.
