The English and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the competition of the scheduled Covid-19 tests of the visiting Pakistan players.
20 players of the squad and 12 team officials were tested by ECB’s medical team. Bowling coach Waqar Younis joined the team on Monday and was also tested.
It is to be known that the Men in Green arrived in Manchester via chartered flight from Lahore, on Sunday. The side was taken to Worcestershire where they will maintain 14-day isolation period. The visitors will be allowed to train and practice at Blackfinch New Road during the aforementioned isolation period. Following the 2-week isolation, the players will move to Derbyshire on 13 July.

According to the original schedule, the opening Test is scheduled to be played on August 5 in Manchester. Pakistan will play the remaining two games in Southampton, starting on August 13 and 21 respectively. Pakistan will then play the hosts in 3 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) in Southampton on August 29, 31 and September 2.

Zafar Gohar, the left-arm spinner who played an ODI in 2015, will join the side from England and will only be involved in pre-match preparations.
